Katura ReynoldsKatura Reynolds has freelanced as a science illustrator since 1996. She has drawn a wide range of subject matter, from ancient Aleutian artifacts to fossil flamingo footprints. She enjoys the intense focus required by illustration work, and the thrill of discovering new details as she minutely examines her subjects. Katura graduated from the Science Illustration program at the University of California at Santa Cruz. A bit of a museum nut, Katura has worked for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History; the Huntington Library, Art Collections, & Botanical Gardens; and the San Bernardino County Museum. She is currently employed at Mount Pisgah Arboretum in Eugene, Oregon. |
