                                                Marilyn Morrill Droege

Marilyn Morrill Droege’s degree in Fine Arts preceded professional work in graphic arts. She has published in the fields of technical and scientific illustration. She is an avid amateur botanist and mycologist, with a life-long love of science and art which culminates for her in painting plant, animal and natural objects by observing closely their detail to show their science, and to give expression to their nature and beauty. She works in both color and black and white, primarily in watercolor, colored pencil, gouache, ink and scratchboard.

Her fine art has been shown in Washington since 1989, and includes art for printed cards, poster design, illustration and painting. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. She has been published in a wildlife art catalogue in Europe, in the Journal of the Guild of Natural Science Illustration, on a nature art website, and has won a place award in a national botanical art exhibit. Marilyn’s art is now in several private collections.
