Members of the PNBA are invited to supply art and inventory for this exhibit and two sales: one in conjunction with the library’s annual book sale on April 3 & 4, the other during the Master Gardener annual plant sale on May 2 & 3.
Note: GNSI members are welcome to participate. GNSI members are required to pay an entry fee of $10.00, payable to PNBA. Please include a check with the Art & Inventory Registration Form.
Volunteers are needed to assist with:
· Receiving and hanging artwork on Thursday, April 2.
· Staffing the sales table at the book sale on Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4.
· Setting up the booth at the Master Gardener plant sale on Friday, May 1.
· Staffing the sales table at the Master Gardener plant sale on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3.
· Taking down the exhibit artwork on Monday, May 4.

Ever wanted to touch a bat? Or get close to a tiger? Meet hundreds of specimens from the Burke Museum’s extraordinary mammalogy collection.
Meet the Mammals is the only opportunity of the year for visitors to see hundreds of specimens from the mammalogy collection on display. There will be hands-on activities for the whole family; many of the specimens can be held or touched. Mammal experts are on hand all day long to answer questions and talk about the amazing diversity of mammals!

Flock to the Burke for a fabulous day filled with all things feathered! Discover more about the birds in your backyard and around the world with the Burke’s ornithology collection and visit live birds on the Burke lawn. Explore the museum with a unique indoor bird watching experience and afterwards make your own bird feeder! Information will be available for birders of all ages and experience.
Information for birders of all ages and experience levels will be provided by the Burke Museum Ornithology team along with our community partners--Seattle Audubon, Seward Park Audubon, Puget Sound Bird Observatory, and the Washington Ornithological Society. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces their 4th Annual “Nature” Online Juried Art Competition for the month of October 2014. 2D and 3D artists from around the world are called upon to make online submissions for possible inclusion into the Gallery’s November 2014 online group art exhibition. The gallery encourages entries from artists (including photography), regardless of where they reside to apply to this competition by submitting their nature themed art.
The “Nature” theme will be the artist’s interpretation and depiction of the physical world and is considered to be anything that was not created by or has been substantially altered by man. Subjects that would encompass the “Nature” theme would include geographical subjects, natural objects, wildlife and natural environments.
Here is a link to the 2013 Nature Art Exhibition in order to help guide you as to the type of art that was accepted in the past. In addition, please review our article post which explains the Judging Criteria for Our Juried Art Competitions in order to provide you with a guide in submitting your entries.
Light Space & Time encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to submit their art. A group exhibition of the top five finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of November 2014. Awards will be for 1st through 5th places. Also, 5 Honorable Mention places will be awarded. In addition, depending on the amount and the quality of the entries, Special Merit and Special Recognition awards will be posted as well.

In addition to the above, artists shall also receive a digital Award Certificate, Event Postcard, Event Catalogue, Press Releases and “Leveraging Your Success” marketing materials if they place in this exhibition.
