The Northwest Chapter of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators has assembled a traveling exhibit titled, “Traditions in Natural Science Illustration”. This exhibit showcases the range of subjects, media, and techniques used in scientific illustration. Artists are continually creating new art using favorite or new and less familiar techniques and media.  
Subjects include animal, vegetable, botanical, mineral, biomedical, archaeological; whatever fits into natural science illustration. 
Media and techniques include, but are not limited to:  line and ink, graphite, coquille board, carbon dust, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil, scratch board, colored pencil, silver point, engraving, etching, egg tempera, pencil on frosted mylar, airbrush, and computer illustration. 
The goal is to present an exhibit with as much variety of subject, media and technique as possible.
