Dina Popovkina

Dina is a postdoctoral research scientist, fine artist, and nature illustrator. In many of her paintings, she explores the diversity of the natural world and the organization of spaces and things, inspired by her academic work on object recognition in the brain.

Dina's background includes biochemistry, archaeology, physiology, and neuroscience. Her long-term goal is to help make science accessible to a variety of expert and non-expert audiences. She also hopes her work will encourage people to pause, observe, and consider the details in natural forms.
