A Glance in the Nocturnal World: Virtual Talk with Dr. Isabella Mandl
Saturday, January 25th (10 AM) Join us via zoom to hear Dr. Isabella Mandl speak on her decade-long career studying and protecting nocturnal animals while developing her art style and skills. She will highlight how to put the spotlight on animals often considered dull! Isabella is the Regional Director for Africa and South Asia at Bat Conservation International, working on conservation projects protecting threatened bat species. In her free time she is an artist specialized on realistic wildlife portraits, mainly in colored pencil or pastel. Her main focus is on nocturnal animals (especially bats!) and wildlife that is often overlooked in the art world. |
Sketch Meetup at the Seattle Aquarium
Saturday, February 22nd (10 AM) While the weather is still dreary, let's check out the new exhibit at the Seattle Aquarium and sketch some sea life! We will meet at the entrance at 10am. We recommend buying tickets ahead of this visit, as lines can get long and tickets sometimes sell out. All members are welcome and non-members may attend with a suggested $5 donation. |
