Hello members, Thank you Rachael, Cyndi, and Katherine for helping out at "Archaeology Day" at the Burke museum this past Saturday! We all had fun drawing intriguing and even mysterious artifacts. We also enjoyed discussing scientific illustration with curious adults and encouraging children to express their talent while drawing or coloring specimens of arrow heads. "Dino Day" is coming fast on the tail of Archaeology Day! On Saturday - March 12, 2016 If you love dinosaurs or are curious about paleo and fossil digs all over the world, I encourage you to join us on that day. It is the most popular family event at the museum every year. Lots of fun and learning! Rachael and I will tend a "Science Illustrators at Work!" area but we still need a couple more volunteers to make this day a success! http://www.burkemuseum.org/calendar/dino-day Ideally, we need one more volunteer for the morning (10am-1pm) and another for the afternoon (1-4pm). Thank you for considering this opportunity. I look forward to hearing back from you very soon. Véronique Please, contact Véronique at verorn@comcast.net if you are interested |
